Marketing SMS Opt-In Flow

Customers opt in to marketing SMS only by manually checking the optional SMS marketing checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is shown on the kiosk phone-number step.

Where opt-in appears

The opt-in appears on the kiosk phone-number step. The phone number field is optional, and the SMS marketing checkbox is separate from the phone field, optional, and unchecked by default.

Customers who do not check the marketing checkbox will not receive marketing or promotional messages. Entering a phone number by itself does not opt a customer in to marketing SMS.

Consent evidence logged

When a customer checks the box, the system logs consent evidence including the phone number, timestamp, exact consent text shown, business/location context, visit when available, consent source of "kiosk", selected language, IP address, device/session information, and the policy links shown.

Opt-out and help

Customers can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
